Weatherford’s patented SpeedTork™ 8.0-70 is a hydraulic powered drill pipe tong that safely and efficiently makes up and breaks out standard API drill pipe connections and special connections that require continuous rotation for proper makeup. The SpeedTork™ tong provides 70,000 ft-lb torque capacity for drill pipe and drill string accessories with diameters ranging from 3 1/2” to 8”. The small footprint and low height add to the overall operational efficiency.
The SpeedTork™ drill pipe tong is compatible with Weatherford’s PowerFrame™ III, PowerScope™ tong positioning systems and is the ideal solution for non-automated operation. A smaller 6.6-30 version of the SpeedTork™ tong is also available.
